Don't they look so pretty in their dresses? I just wanted to give mad props to those of you that have helped out at Live Nativity. Someone told me how impressed they were with you guys the other night! You guys rock! Keep up the good work and thank you so much for giving up your evenings to be the LIVE NATIVITY!

World Changers 2009 Location is Announced!

The moment many of you have been looking forward too. Where are we going next year for World Changers? Well, we had hoped to be going to Knoxville, TN but they folks at World Changers changed that site to Senior High only so we went with our second choice: Huntsville, Alabama (June 20-28)! I can't wait! We must start preparing now - raising funds, preparing our hearts, praying for the community, get a whole bunch of students to go. A lot to do! Let's dive in and get ready to change the world!

World Changers Yard Sale

Hey Gang! I just wanted to remind everyone about the World Changers Yard Sale coming up on Saturday, October 11! First of all, we need you to gather up some treasures! Second, we need you to be there Wednesday, October 8th so we can set up for the Yard Sale. And finally, we need you to plan to be there to help out on Saturday! Mark your calendars and make sure to show up! Especially if you want to go to World Changers this year.

I'm really proud of the students of First Baptist Church! You guys rock! I love the way you welcome you people. I love the way you pay attention. I love the way you love to have fun! You deserve a round of applause! I just wanted to remind you to take time this week to love on that person that we talked about last night at IGNITE! If you weren't there - find someone that was there and ask them to fill you in! Have a great weekend and we will see you Sunday at church! By the way, I dare you to sit up front with me at church! Pin Head - Wow, That Looks Like It Hurts!

Cody Johnson is this week's winner of the "Box of Candy Challenge!" Cody managed to hold 35 clothespins on his face for 2 minutes! You Rock Cody! Don't forget that next week is Ultimate Dodgeball! Not Swayed by Tropical Storm FAY!

Okay...here's the skinny. I just heard that school was now back in session for Wednesday! Bummer...no hurricane party for us! We originally canceled youth tomorrow night because of the storm...but I am using my ability to change my mind and saying that we are back on! We've got another CANDY BOX CHALLENGE, more games to challenge your competitive nature, and we will continue to take a look at what it means to LOVE GOD & LOVE PEOPLE by taking a look at the cross. Don't forget that your $45 bucks for ROCK THE UNIVERSE is due next Wednesday! Why not invite a friend or two! First Wednesday is coming September 3rd and we are kicking it off with Ultimate Dodgeball! The night will be action packed with blow threatening games of dodgeball, pizza and a best dodgeball costume contest. That's right - come up with the best dodgeball uniform and win a prize!!! This will be a great event to invite a friend! It's going to be a crazy night of competition!

Rock the Universe is Saturday, September 6th! We are meeting at the church at 2:00pm and will return home from Universal Studios at 2:30am! Your $45 is due by August 24th! Make sure to get your permission form from Pastor Ricc! Concerts by Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Jars of Clan, Leeland and more!
